European Union – Ursula von der Leyen on climate actions

In her State of the European Union speech on 16th September 2020, the President of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, unveiled plans to relaunch Europe’s economy and, as part of it, to unleash massive investment by increasing the reduction target on greenhouse gas emissions from 40% to at least 55% by 2030 (reference year 1990).
